The Millburn Public School System is regarded as one of the best in the state.  With seven elementary schools, an award winning middle school and Millburn High school, which has won the Blue Ribbon award and named the #1 Public high school in the state in 2008 and 2010, it is clear to see why students succeed with such strong academic excellence.


Special Education

M-SPEC, the Millburn-Short Hills special education system, builds a network to combine knowledge, experience and strategies to help children overcome obstacles. By strengthening the M-SPEC community, children can recieve the education and assistance they need.  M-SPEC is now a registered 501 (c)(3) Organization; donations can be made to the non-profit organization to continue to better the education and support for parents and children in our community.


Community Outreach


Caring for Kids


Caring for Kids is a group students dedicated to working closely with other students to foster growth, compassion and education to mold members into contributing, empowered members of society. With targeted community outreach and peer socialization, kids come together to help ease those who may need extra help into socializing and connecting with others. Through planned activities, family enrichment programs, and classroom immersions, Caring for Kids is striving to make a difference.


Millburn-Short Hills residents can enjoy Gero Park year round, with a main pool, featuring a water slide anda wading pool, as well as the Par 3 Golf Course and Tennis courts from Memorial Day through Kabor Day.

Township Organizations:

The Newcomers-Encore Club

The Newcomers-Encore Club of Millburn-Short Hills is an excellent way to make new friends. Once a month, new members coffee is held once a month and a range of activities are offered to new town members to meet new people, settle in a bit easier, and socialize in an open and friendly environment. The Working Mother's Organization

The Working Mother's Organization of Millburn-Short Hills is an informal club for working mom's of the town to build a network a support for mom's balancing their careers, children, and personal lives. Communication and strong relationships are keys ways for members to discover new and effective way to balance and even get assitence from other women facing the same challenges.
