Township Information
Summit may only be six square miles in size but it is home to beautiful tree lined suburbia with a lively downtown and ideal location. Summit has direct train access to New York City, conveniently located near Newark International Airport and major highways. With well-ranked public education, over 90% of students go to college, and it is located very close to some of the best private schools in the state.

Public Library
The Summit Free Public Library is located at 75 Maple Street and provides access to eBooks, books, tapes and more. School District
The Summit public education system has consistently been rated one of the top in the state; students are prepared from five elementary schools to a nationally ranked High school. The town has placed limits on class sizes to ensure a good teacher to student ratio and allow more individualized learning. Recreation
The city of Summit organizes a variety of events in all areas including fitness, sports, family events, and culturally stimulating events through their network of non-profit organizations that allows residents to enjoy the varied offerings. Township Organizations
The Newcomers Club The Newcomers club of Summit, Berkley Heights, and New Providence holds events all year long for new members of the community and well established residents to interact and meet new people in a fun, welcoming environment. Through monthly activities ranging from book club, ladies night out, and sports program, there is something everyone can enjoy and strengthen the community.
